Bled’s history.

Villa Alice in its present form dates from the second half of the 19th century.

One of its former owners was Benedikt Lergetporer, the first photographer in Bled. He opened a photography studio in the villa and documented the people and landscape of his time.

In 1891, together with Jakob Žumer, he discovered the Vintgar Gorge.

Today, the house continues its story as a place to stay, with its historic character preserved alongside the comfort expected by contemporary guests.
