Since the 19th century
A house with a story.
Villa Alice in its present form dates from the second half of the 19th century. The house is a protected landmark.
A former owner, Benedikt Lergetporer, was Bled’s first photographer. He opened a studio in the villa and exhibited portraits of local people and the landscape. In 1891 he and Jakob Žumer discovered the Vintgar Gorge.
